Project 365 #8 – Free flowers

This photo is interesting mainly because it was among my first attempts at ‘freelensing’ – a technique where you remove the lens from the camera (but keep it close to the camera body, of course) and alter the angle/distance from the camera body to get some interesting effects. By tilting the lens, you change the plane of focus and by moving the lens away from the body you introduce light leaks. There is an obvious risk of getting dust in the sensor, but done carefully you should be OK :).

I edited the colours of the photo fairly heavily in Lightroom, and reduced the noise – this photo would’ve been better if I’d taken it in better light.
