Project 365 #12 – Icicles

It’s still cold here, unlike down in London where I work where you wouldn’t even know it had snowed. These icicles formed off our undulating garage roof and I spotted them out of our kitchen window this morning and knew they’d be my photo for the day.

It’s actually weirdly difficult to take photos of icicles. They really lack definition, not to mention I kept knocking them off with my shoulder. My camera also really struggled to focus because they’re so thin so I reverted to live view + focused manually.

I couldn’t get the colours right in Lightroom. I knew I wanted something unnatural looking to really make it look cold, but I’m still not sure this was quite what I wanted. I like it anyway.

What do you think?
