Project 365 #54 – New moleskine

It’s been ages since I last had a new moleskine, so I decided to finally treat myself. I opted for a hardback squared one instead of a lined one to make it easier to draw diagrams and website layouts. It’s also easier to doodle on squares (in my opinion)!

My fountain pen is a Lamy Safari in some kind of purple-brown colour with a fine nib and black ink (at the moment, I tend to alternate between black and blue). Fountain pen + Moleskine is the best, apart from when it smudges to the other page.

As usual, the lack of aperture blades lets down this (otherwise fantastic and cheap) lens, with all the texture of the Moleskine turning into harsh pentagons in the background. Fortunately it is quite difficult to tell, but I do wonder what the effect would be like with a lens with more aperture blades.

Lens: 50mm f/1.8 (with 21mm extension tube)
Focal length: 50mm
Aperture: f/8
Shutter speed: 2.5 seconds
ISO: 100
Flash: Did not fire.
