Project 365 #37 – Red sky at night

This photo looks a lot better in full because then you can see the detail in the tree, so make sure you do.

I tried to use Photoshop’s content aware fill to extend the sky in this photo, but the top left hand corner ended up looking awful and I gave up. It’s a nice photo anyway. Twice a year my cycle to and from the station coincides with sunrise and sunset, and I can use that small window of opportunity to take some photos in golden hour / of the sunset and sunrise. If I’m lucky I might get a few more.

I edited this fairly heavily in Lightroom to improve the colours and remove some distracting details among the silhouettes.
