“Why don’t you take an arty photo of your shoes?”. That was the tongue-in-cheek suggestion from Antonia that inspired this photo.
I’ve actually cheated a little bit here. The photo of my shoes was taken today, but the tree canopy photo used was taken back in July when we went to the Natural History museum in London (hi Jon!).
I used a flash and purposefully over-exposed the photo of my shoes to white-out the background (it still needed some level adjustment). This left the shoes for a double exposure effect which I faked in Photoshop: 2 layers with the second one set to ‘Screen’ and then I tweaked the levels of both photos.
“Trippy” was the response when I showed Antonia.
